In other news, while doing the Wii Fit 10 minute run today (huzzah! couldn't do THAT a month ago) M's Mii runs by and trips and falls. My instinct? OH! I should help her. Later in the Bazzer Mii runs by and all I can think is "shit, dude wouldnt be running past me that fast unless there was free beer under the finish sign or his pants were on fire"

I didn't mention how a month of Wii fit went but, basically, I managed to use it nearly every single day I was around for, at least 30 and usually 60 minutes a day. My balance has definitely improved, as has my overall endurance and strength. I didn't hit the goal I wanted by 2 pounds, however, I noticeably made progress on what's really important so, ya. And, i'm keeping up with it as well. I'm confident I'll hit the goal this time.

I'm contemplating simply boycotting as much "celebrity media" as is possible.

Dude won what, 7 Olympic gold medals? And people are freaking the hell out because he smoked a bit of weed.

We used to really rip this one up with Dubfreque.

As they had mentioned Springsteen, Ticketbastard and Ticketsnow, theiri evil scalping service, I started pondering just what ticket companies can realistically do to stop the practice, ensuring that "true fans" get tickets at humane prices and you know what? In this world of online buying, there's really not much that can be done at all, period, that's feasible. Enforcing limits never works, simply because the scalpers employ large amounts of people to gather in their tickets. And undoubtedly have better, automated software thats hammering away at the site, perhaps with undocumented APIs even.

Maybe if they returned to the days of physical tickets, being sold in person, by real human beings, they'd have a better rein on it all, but, keep in mind, that they have NO DESIRE to do anything like this. Even IF what Ticketmaster repeatedly suggests is happening, it makes no difference to them as Ticketsnow rakes the money in, which in turn benefits both artists and the parent corporation, Ticketbastard.

In other news, its a gorgeously warm day in Vancouver. Its not Texas 70 degrees worth of warm, but, it's pretty damn fine out. :D
